I absolutely love my new Bluetooth speaker. I live in a an apartment and prefer the minimalistic approach. I purchased it in the gold metallic, along with the case very hard to crush which is not quite the same color,but more of a rose gold...fine with me. This speaker is small fits in the palm of my hand and packs big sound... more than enough for apartment living. I can hear it clearly in any area of my home even if it is in another room. It came with a charging and aux cord... yes it holds a charge and is ready for use straight out of the box. The speaker will audibly let you know when it is turned on, paired, disconnected, turning off, or in need of charging. You do have the ability to listen and charge at the same time which I have only done once. It is portable and serves dual purposes for both my home and work. I have even been asked where the sound is coming from. When I show and tell the looks of amazement are astonishing...be careful someone could easily swipe it without your knowledge. Well that s if it is turned off lol. I would recommend this product.
