It seems like a well-made product and it has some great reviews, so I am hesitant to even review this item. But, recognizing that some might fall into a similar situation to mine, I will. The reason I bought this was because I needed a pre-amp for my AT33PTG ii cartridge playing through a Denon AVR 3311ci, using a Denon DJ VL 12 pro turntable. It seemed fine in the mm position but I needed the mc position for the mc cartridge. The noise level in the mc position was extremely loud and far more than noticeable. It was not hum, but white noise, or hiss. And this occurred with or without a turntable attached and with or without the leads to the pre-amp from the phono inserted into the pre-amp. It is not a grounding issue because without grounding there is a hum, but with proper grounding, the hum is gone. I don t know the cause but I tried everything to get rid of the noise and could not. I even tried various line-in inputs to seem if one might be better than the first, but all the line ins are the same story. Without the pre-amp attached, perfect quiet, even with the volume turned up high. So, despite the fact that this probably is a great product, it did not work in my situation.
